Neuro-ICU Lab

This is the head quarter of neurochemical research and development, as well as routine bed side chemical analyses. A full time technician, MS Inger Stahl Myllyaho, is the living interface between the lab and the Neuro-ICU staff, handling the organisation and quality control and point-of-care neurochemistry. This is the site for e.g. continual development of  cerebral microdialysis as a method for neurochemical monitoring of the patients. This methodology was introduced in the Uppsala Neuro-ICU and is to date used as a neurochemical monitoring and research tool in many neurosurgical centers world wide.
